Cool For a Warrior/Ranger: What is the Best Armor in the game...YOUR OPINION.

I recently just purchased this game so I am behind most in my quest for greatness, but I am in the post searing and starting to save the money and materials to build my armor once the time comes.

Like I said in the title I am a Warrior/Ranger and like to play hack'n'slash. There is no holding back and I usually travel with my pet, my friend is is a primary healer, and a damage dealing monk.

I noticed that in the last few cities there are both the Dragon's and Platemail armors. The attributes seem to be the same, however one costs 10x more then the other.

So my questions are...

1. In your opinion: What is the BEST armor in the game for a Warrior with this style?
2. What is the difference between the top few armors?

One might argue that there is no singular "best" armor - it depends on personal taste, situation, play styles, builds, etc.

However most experience warriors, particularly for PvP where every little advantage counts, would wear a mixed set of one piece of knight's (or 15k ascalon) for global damage reduction, a weapon helm, stonefist gauntlets if appropirate (hammer build), and the balance in either gladiator's (for energy) or plate.

All that being said, it's really up to you. Although most people would agree that a complete set of knights/15k ascalon is a waste, since a single piece provides the global damage reduction.

On my warrior, I vary slightly depending on axe or hammer, but I generally wear executioner's helm/dwarven helm, glad chest, glad gloves (or stonefist), glad legings, and 15k ascalon boots

Fissure is the best armour. Apparently it costs a million to craft, and you still need all the materials

I want to know what FoW is though

Fissure armor has the same stats as regular armor from Droknar's Forge. It just looks special. Just like the 15k versions of the standard armor sets.

I'm going to say that Gladiator Armor would be better due to the increased energy you get from it which helps with 10 cost and higher skills. Most warriors work off adrenal skills which doesn't merit needing so much energy, but rangers secondarys need the energy boost.

gladiator is definitely the most useful utility armor for warriors.

I use a W/R vs fleshy targets and i use apply poison which costs 15 energy. With gladiator armor, i can use it, and still have enough energy to start the initial attack with a defensive stance.

When i use W/E i have enough magic to cast even the most expensive spells.

No, its 15k per piece to craft. The materials push it up to 1.5-2million for a set.

F.Y.I. FoW refers to Fissure of Woe in the Underworld.
